Political Adversary & Convenience :Why we can't stop pollution

In most democracies, the majority of voters do not raise their voice about environmental concerns. These majority are either uneducated, unaware, or apathetic about new questionable topics of bio-security, putting economics and religion first and leaving decision-making to the political leader.

We are in bus (earth), and the driver (leaders), he doesnt know he’s driving us off a cliff.

Dr. Shanna Swan's insightful discussion with Joe Rogan on the podcast sheds light on the profound implications of phthalate exposure in our modern environment. The research highlights the alarming trends in declining sperm counts and disruptions in reproductive development, suggesting a potential link to the widespread presence of phthalates in our surroundings.

Shanna Helen Swan is an American environmental and reproductive epidemiologist who is Professor of Environmental Medicine and Public Health at Mount Sinai's Icahn School of Medicine, where she has taught since April 2011.  She is known for her research on environmental contributions to sperm count and the male infertility crisis.

What we say...

Ground “ZERO”

Our civilization stands on the precipice, owing to the deleterious impact of synthetic materials on our genetic makeup.

A significant portion of the populace remains unaware of the non-recyclability and incompatibility of plastics, while the multifaceted spectrum of sustainability, encompassing habitat, social cohesion, financial stability, and cultural sensibilities, often eludes comprehension.

Disturbingly, plastics have contributed to a 50% reduction in global fertility rates since the culmination of World War II, thus representing a formidable challenge.

To address this grave concern, it is imperative to lend unwavering support to "zero waste" (plastic-free) brands that place a premium on convenience, innovation, community endorsement, and the proscription of plastic and synthetic materials, such as Styrofoam, nylon, and polyester.

Instead, the adoption of eco-friendly alternatives, including leather, metals, wood, and plant-derived fibers, is paramount. 🚀🌍

A world without Plastics

Imagine the biosphere free from plastics:

Plastics contain toxic chemicals and gasses in production, during use, and when breaking down in the biosphere, entering our bodies directly or indirectly with multiple negative health-implications.

Doing without plastics in the water and food supply is better for human longevity & wildlife health.

Plastic Free, Reusables, and Disposables products & packaging:While production standards dictate to make less waste, in a macro-micro perspective, consumers still unwillingly, and unwittingly contaminate the food and water supply, and stays there even after generations and generations.Non-Plastic Alternative packaging and Reusables can actually save us money in the long run.

Guilt-Free, High Quality products add a great responsibility-value* and good feeling with your belongings/ sustenance, Like when using a glass or metal water bottle, that feeling of solidarity, both tangibly and micro-biologically feels satisfying(because we know we aren't wrongfully exploiting our freedoms?)

To make plastic you need to drill for oil and/or use non-bio-compatible chemistry on plant-based oil. Negative global health implications of plastics may actually outweigh that of C02 pollution long term, microplastics can't just be sequestered like C02.

What we can do as consumers

Being mindful of our consumption and waste collectively empowers us to become more responsible individuals and stewards of our planet.

➡️Education over pollution's negative health implications,
➡️Learning how to prevent it
➡️Advocating for sustainability standards for the zero-waste movement
➡️Advocating for bio-security-legislation, as well as
➡️Establishing a community standard for purchasing will help consumers be smarter about their choices.

Along the way, we can join the dialogue between the political and social problems surrounding plastics and help create a better world for all life, visually, phytologically, but mainly biologically.
